Energy Balls (Vegan, Gluten-Free, No-Bake)

How to Make the Best Energy Balls (Vegan, Gluten-Free, No-Bake)

Looking for a healthy snack that’s ready in just 10 minutes with zero baking required? These energy balls are the perfect solution. Packed with wholesome ingredients like raw pecans, coconut, dates, and dried cranberries, they deliver natural sweetness and satisfying texture in every bite.

What sets these energy balls apart is the subtle addition of garam masala spice. This warm, aromatic blend adds an unexpected depth of flavor that elevates these simple snacks from ordinary to extraordinary. Of course, you can leave it out if you prefer a more traditional taste, but we encourage you to give it a try.

These no-bake treats are naturally vegan and gluten-free, making them a great option for anyone with dietary restrictions. Keep a batch in your fridge for a quick afternoon pick-me-up, or toss a few in your bag for on-the-go snacking. They’re also perfect for meal prep—make a double batch and freeze for weeks of healthy snacking.

Ingredients

Energy Balls

Instructions

Making the Energy Balls

  1. Add pecans and coconut into a food processor and pulse until crumbled. Add the remaining ingredients and pulse repeatedly until well combined. For the best texture, leave the texture coarse rather than making it too smooth.
  2. Roll into 12 small ping-pong sized balls and place on a parchment-lined sheet pan to firm up and cool in the fridge or freezer.
  3. Once chilled, you can stack in a storage container or place in a ziplock bag. Continue storing in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or freeze.

Notes

  • For the best texture, don't over-process the mixture—keep it slightly coarse.
  • The garam masala adds a warm, subtle spice, but it's optional if you prefer a simpler flavor.
  • These freeze beautifully and can be enjoyed straight from the freezer.
