Creamy Herby Hemp Dressing Recipe
5-Minute Creamy Hemp Dressing is vegan, herby and delicious - an easy way to spice up your favorite salads and veggie platters! Make this with fresh dill, parsley or basil. Keto and vegan.

How to Make the Best Creamy Herby Hemp Dressing
This creamy herby hemp dressing is a game-changer for anyone looking to add more plant-based nutrition to their meals. Made with hemp hearts—one of nature’s most complete protein sources—this dressing is packed with omega fatty acids and delivers a rich, creamy texture without any dairy.
What makes this dressing truly special is its versatility. You can customize the herb profile to match whatever you’re serving: fresh dill pairs beautifully with cucumber salads and fish, parsley keeps things bright and fresh for everyday greens, and basil transforms it into something almost pesto-like for grain bowls and pasta salads. The nutritional yeast adds a subtle cheesy, umami depth that makes this dressing surprisingly satisfying.
Ready in just five minutes with a high-speed blender, this dressing is perfect for meal prep. Make a batch at the beginning of the week and drizzle it over roasted vegetables, use it as a dip for crudités, or thin it out for a light salad dressing. It’s keto-friendly, vegan, and absolutely delicious.

Instructions
Hemp Dressing
- Place all ingredients, except the herbs, in a blender.
- Starting on low speed, gradually increasing, blend until creamy and smooth (make sure the garlic is blended).
- If you need to add another tablespoon or two of water to get the blender going, that is fine.
- Add the herbs, blend until chopped up finely.
- This will be a good "dip" consistency. If you'd like a looser salad dressing, add a little more water or olive oil (just 2-3 tablespoons or so). This is best served chilled, and will thicken in the refrigerator. Store in a sealed jar or covered bowl in the fridge.
Notes
- For a looser consistency, add 2-3 tablespoons more water or olive oil.
- This dressing thickens when refrigerated - add water to thin as needed.
- You can substitute 1 teaspoon white miso paste for the nutritional yeast.
- Fresh chives also make a lovely addition to this dressing.
